Welcome to SteelCoded! This Privacy Policy governs the collection, use, and protection of data when you utilize our mobile application ("App"). By accessing and using SteelCoded, you consent to the terms and practices outlined herein.

1. Data Collection

SteelCoded LLC collects the following data for specified purposes:

• Timestamps of scans performed by users when scanning labels affixed to steel.

• The app requests access to the microphone for compliance with permissions mandated by Apple and Android platforms; however, no audio data is captured.

• Images of bills of lading are collected to extract text for processing purposes as part of our Bill of Lading (BOL) scanning feature. These images are retained on our systems to facilitate comparison via the desktop application.

• The app stores the IP address and port of the SteelCoded server, which must operate on the same network as the client's Tekla PowerFab server. This information is stored locally on the device and is not transmitted or stored on external servers.

• The Tekla PowerFab integration features do not directly furnish data to SteelCoded's database; instead, data is sourced from the installed server integration and transmitted back to the user.

2. Device Information

SteelCoded LLC may collect device information for identification and authentication purposes. When a device initially logs on and is not found in our system with a license, we assign a unique identifier (UUID) to it. We request users to provide a name for the device within our system, and we associate this name with the UUID. The collected device information is retained on our systems solely for the purpose of device identification and authentication. No other data from the user's device is stored or associated with the UUID.

3. Data Storage, Protection, and Accountability

SteelCoded LLC prioritizes the security and confidentiality of your data through rigorous measures:

• All data transmitted by the app is securely processed and stored on our cloud systems. Access to this data from the cloud is restricted to authorized personnel and necessitates user authentication.

• Robust safeguards are in place to mitigate unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of user data.

• In the event of data breaches or incidents compromising data integrity, SteelCoded LLC is committed to promptly mitigating risks and notifying affected users.

• Access to collected data is restricted to SteelCoded LLC personnel and is not accessible to any third-party entities, with the exception of integration with Tekla PowerFab, where access is limited to features utilized by the user.

4. Data Sharing

SteelCoded LLC does not share user data with any third parties, except for integration with Tekla PowerFab. It is pertinent to note that Tekla PowerFab may access data based on the features utilized, subject to agreements and protocols governing data confidentiality and user privacy.

5. Data Retention

SteelCoded LLC retains user data until deletion is requested by the user or performed within the app. Data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.

6. User Access and Deletion

By using SteelCoded, users expressly consent to the data collection and handling practices delineated herein. Users may request access to their data or deletion thereof by contacting SteelCoded LLC through designated support channels.

7. Limitation of Liability

SteelCoded LLC shall not be liable for any damages to user data, including but not limited to loss, corruption, or unauthorized access. Users acknowledge and agree to assume any inherent risks associated with the use of the app and its services.
